Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. Sharon was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone was thought to be gifted academically in her early years and entered in second grade at the age of five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. She graduated in 1975. The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone win Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move to New Jersey with her aunt New Jersey, where she was interested in pursuing a modeling career. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. Then, she moved to Europe and spent a full year with her aunt in Milan as well as Paris. Stone was unhappy with the model market in Europe but decided to pursue acting instead. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" which received mixed praises.
