Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney June 6, 1953) is an American actor from America. She is well known for her portrayal of Lieutenant Sheba in the TV series Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). Her parents are the grandmother and daughter of actors Gene Lockhart, as well as the actress June Lockhart. Lockhart began her acting career very early. She made her debut when she was just four years old and was in T is for Tumbleweed. The film was nominated for an Academy Award nomination for the short film. She spent time with her mother at the film's set where she would learn about the inner workings of the business. Lockhart has even appeared on numerous Lassie episodes. Her debut film is Dora in Jory in 1972. She played Joan Crawford's daughter for The Sixth Sense, a 1972 TV series. The show was Joan's final acting performance. It is believed that Anne refused to perform the role in the film Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 thriller Halloween which then was cast as Jaime Lee Curtis. Ms. Carpenter says that he was interested in her playing the character but that she turned the offer down. Anne does not remember being contact by John Carpenter nor being offered the role. It's possible that one of her agents turned it down on her behalf, without notifying the actress. She was initially chosen by Glen Larson who sent her an extremely preliminary script to play a role on the 1978 TV series Battlestar Galactica. The actress initially refused the part since the character did not seem strong. Glen later wrote the role with a more powerful character, Sheba. The actress accepted the Living legend script after having read its initial 25 pages. The program ran for one episode. The actress co-starred on Joyride along with Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
