Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor as well as a producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. She started acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent, and TV series. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also won a lot of accolades. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway, she has appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her most well-known work is her roles in the films Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her role as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
